MALDIVES

FAR SOUTH

18 - 25 FEBRUARY 2027

The South of Maldives is a place we return to again and again, because it never tells the same story twice.

On past journeys, we travelled from the central atolls down into the far south, witnessing a gradual shift from vibrant reefs to darker, more powerful channels shaped by strong currents. It was in these southern waters that we encountered an extraordinary concentration of life, including sightings of eleven different shark species across a single trip.

That experience is what brings us back with renewed focus. This time, we dedicate our days entirely to the south, immersing ourselves in its high-energy channels where sharks cruise in the current alongside jacks, barracudas, tunas, and rays.

These dives feel raw, dynamic, and unmistakably alive, and we return once more, curious to see what this remote corner of the Maldives has in store.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 | EMBARKATION

Embarkation time is dependent on domestic flight schedules. The crew will be waiting to meet guests at the domestic airport (Kooddoo or Gan, depending on itinerary route) for transfer to Maldives Master on the dhoni. Embarkation is followed by introductions, boat and safety briefings and dinner. There is no diving on embarkation day.

DAY 2-6

We will typically offer 3 dives a day.

PLEASE NOTE: Most of the dives are in and around channels and along the outside reefs of the atolls where strong currents are the norm. Therefore, the diving may be challenging or unsuitable for inexperienced divers or those uncomfortable with negative entries and fast drifts.

The crew reserve the right to deny participation in some or all dives if they deem any person unfit or not experienced enough to cope with the diving conditions.

DAY 7

Typically we will offer two morning dives for the final day's diving, although this is dependent on flight departure times to ensure a minimum of 24 hours between the final dive and flying.

- Wake-up call and light breakfast

- Briefing and Dive 1

- Full breakfast

- Briefing and Dive 2

- Lunch

In the afternoon, sit back and relax while Maldives Master cruises to the port where she will remain at anchor overnight.

DAY 8 | DISEMBARKATION

Early breakfast on board is followed by disembarkation at 07:30 and transfer by dhoni to the airport for your return flight to Malé.

The itinerary is subject to change based on weather and dive conditions, with final decisions made by the cruise manager to ensure safety and the best possible experience.

vessel

Maldives Master welcomes 26 divers on board with spacious modern comfort, providing the best Maldivian diving experience.

Maldives Master is a 42m liveaboard vessel that boasts two roomy fixed double-bed cabins, ten convertible twin/double cabins and two single cabins. She features an indoor dining area, a bar, an indoor air-conditioned lounge and an outdoor jacuzzi. A shaded outdoor lounge area can be found on the mid-deck, plus four different sun decks: a viewing deck located at the front of both the mid-deck and upper deck, an open-air deck on the top deck, and an ocean deck at the stern of the boat, all providing comfortable seating and loungers.

The ocean deck is a unique feature allowing guests to relax in the open air while close to the water. On many evenings the floodlights will illuminate the water just off the ocean deck to attract plankton which draws the manta rays and whale sharks.
