SOCORRO (REVILLAGIGEDO ARCHIPELAGO)

9 - 19 december 2027

On our 2025 expedition, the Revillagigedo Archipelago (pronounced reh-vee-yah-hee-HEH-doh) revealed itself to us in ways that still feel unreal. Often called the Socorro Islands, this is the correct name for the remote volcanic outposts where we logged some of the most unforgettable dives of our lives.

Giant oceanic mantas sought us out again and again, hovering inches above our heads and rolling slowly as if inviting interaction. Dolphins appeared without warning, playful and calculating, circling us before slipping back into the blue as though trying to draw us deeper. Galápagos sharks, silvertips, and even tiger sharks cruised past with complete indifference to our presence, while whitetip reef sharks lay piled together in tight cuddle huddles, tucked into the crevices of the volcanic walls.

Those dives in 2025 are the reason we are returning, chasing a feeling that has never quite left us.

A Rendezvous with Giants

The Revillagigedo Archipelago offers divers an unparalleled chance to encounter oceanic giants in their natural splendor. From elegant manta rays to schools of hammerheads, each dive feels like an invitation into a world of majestic wonder.

The Theater of the Pacific

Volcanic seascapes create a dramatic underwater stage at Revillagigedo. Rugged pinnacles and towering cliffs rise from the depths, providing a striking backdrop for the marine life that thrives in these nutrient-rich waters.

Intimacy in the Open Ocean

Unlike bustling dive sites elsewhere, Revillagigedo offers a rare sense of exclusivity. Here, the encounters are personal—manta rays glide within arm’s reach, and playful dolphins seem to connect with divers on a deeply unique level.

The Holy Grail of scuba divers

The Revillagigedo Archipelago is a dream destination for divers, combining remote exploration with world-class diving, with a reputation rivalling legendary sites like the Galápagos and Cocos Island.
